This is the most consequential Full Moon of 2026.
It’s a stamp of energy that contains practically all the themes that we’re going to be dealing with in the back half of the year, particularly around Venus Retrograde in October.
The whole second act of 2026 is about our identities, which are basically a response to the Global Reset launched by Saturn and Neptune meeting at Zero Degrees Aries on Valentine’s Day.
In fact, this Aquarius Full Moon answers directly to the Aquarius New Moon Eclipse that happened on February 17, very close to the Global Reset.
But here’s another reason why this is such a consequential Full Moon:
Energy is concentrated in fixed signs—Aquarius, Leo, Taurus—along with the outer planets hanging out in fire and air exclusively.
That’s a recipe for sharp, courageous energy. Not a lot of waffling here.
This is also the first lunation since the south node went into Leo and the north node went into Aquarius.
The south node is what we’re letting go of and the north node is what we’re cultivating collectively. They haven’t occupied this zone since 2008.
When you look at a situation like this, it adds up to an extreme focus on identities.
So let’s dive in and see what kind of identities are awaiting us.
The Essence of Aquarius and Leo
Typically, when we get the Aquarius Full Moon in late July or early August, it’s a raucous time—extremely catalytic, electric, unexpected, radical, revolutionary.
This year, it’s highly inflected because we have the luminaries on two major planets that are facing each other down—which is Jupiter in Leo conjunct the Sun and Pluto in Aquarius conjunct the Full Moon.
What a statistically rare happening! This is truly amazing to see. Jupiter and Pluto are perfecting their opposition and then we have a lunation right on top of them.
Now, it’s worth mentioning that both Jupiter in Leo and Pluto in Aquarius have their dark side—and their light side.
Oppositions are good at revealing the duality that planets contain anyways, so that helps.
Jupiter in Leo can be quite pompous, and that can really be enhanced by the Sun on top of him, because the Sun rules Leo.
But we typically look forward to Sun-Jupiter days, because it stimulates a lot of generosity and love and creativity.
The south node in Leo will help with purging the excesses of individuality that lead to pompousness rather than creative vitality.
Pluto in Aquarius on the other hand can really corrupt things if it’s not acting in accordance to a strict code of conduct. Aquarius is groups, so think of mobs or coordinated group hits or tribal warfare.
However, the presence of the north node in Aquarius will really clean this up.
Instead of forming a cult, people may be inspired to form a revolutionary vanguard—or you might say the avant-garde.
The north node wants to guard against any kind of groupthink or technocratic control by groups or networks. It does not like the surveillance state. It’s not a fan of people like that TikTok guy who filmed those lawyers making out in Central Park.
Aquarius loves freedom. Groups naturally form as self-determined individuals come together. Technology assists with connecting everyone. That’s Aquarius.
Therefore, you can see that this Jupiter-Pluto showdown is very high in debate energy and very passionate. People feel strongly about their associations and interests.
The Full Moon is going to drop right on top of this and people will get very angry at the puppet masters. Don’t be surprised if people see how narratives are trying to manipulate them.
And that’s a good thing. The revolutionary energy of the Full Moon in Aquarius is merging with Pluto, one of the deadliest and most complex planets in the zodiac.
What a major collective purge moment. The mask is coming off. Repressed energy is bubbling up to the surface.
This is a Moon who is very aware of power dynamics and wants to deprogram itself from mind control.
The Moon is such a sensitive placement to have in a hard aspect to Pluto, especially the conjunction, which is an unmediated relationship. It’s a fusion and it screams trauma and fear.
Fear of what? That you won’t let yourself become your full self. Authentic. Raw.
There’s a real call to action at this Full Moon, to keep it 100, to forge an identity, to stand for something—and to even stand against something.
But self-awareness is key, so that you’re not marching in someone else’s army.

Deprogram Yourself
One of the more traditional interpretations of the Aquarius-Leo axis is fun and entertainment.
Aquarius is the group, so it’s like hanging out at the mall or the arcade in the 90s. Now we hang out together online.
Leo is the game at hand. Or the general vibe. The aesthetics. It’s a dive bar or a sports bar or a cocktail bar.
Aquarius is the unexpected. You send a text and another friend joins the party. Leo is a constant. The buzz of the music playing from the DJ booth.
But what happens when you get to 2026 and culture is sexless, risk averse and starved for fun?
Here comes the Aquarius Full Moon, helping us to connect with our tribe and get out of our own way.
You will see people being aware of the menu of choices around them—and how it’s fabricated.
That’s what I call The Glasslands.
Definition of The Glasslands: the algorithmic infinite jest pushing you through fabricated environments, where you can nostalgia goon to remakes and sequels.
This is why we must face fears and humanize ourselves and deprogram ourselves of all these ambient control mechanisms.
That’s true authenticity. The true rebel.
Because the problem is The Glasslands are in opposition to The Patchwork Age.
The current “culture” is multiplying options while actually reducing true choice.
Beauty is being sacrificed on the altar of convenience.
So let’s look into how you can explode these narrative machines.
Exploding Machines
The ruler of anything in Aquarius—the north node, the Moon, Pluto—is Saturn.
And Saturn went retrograde just days before this full moon.
He actually went retrograde on the day that the north node went into his sign for the first time since 2008.
Remember 2008? We had another a Global Reset, where Pluto had just gone into Capricorn—the other sign ruled by Saturn. It was a housing market crash.
Well, now Pluto is in Aquarius and this is a new Global Reset. We’re seeing the fallout from broken institutions who have lost our trust.
There is a proliferation of options and stimulation and activity, but a lack of robust culture and true choice.
So we’re in a highly programmable post-truth environment where the inner space of the human being is the final frontier.
Pluto was in Aquarius during the Protestant Reformation and Revolutionary America.
Times when humanity was trying to preserve the independence of the inner space.
Choice. Free will. Freedom. Belief in the future.
This full moon is not messing around.
Currently we find Saturn retrograde in Aries, where he’s weighing out the consequences of his actions.
This is where we have to get over our fears of not being ready.
We have to fight through our doubts and come back to our human purpose.
We have to do something unexpected, not yet seen, not yet fully formed.
That’s how you can exercise choice when given a menu of options which you haven’t curated.
Break the Pepsi versus Coke paradigm.
Color outside the lines, go camp at the borders of consciousness, create more of what you want, live something different.
Let’s wrap up with some final thoughts.
Honey, I Joined A Cult
So in order to talk about the fringe aspect of Aquarius, let’s go to Uranus, the modern ruler of that sign.
He’s hanging out with Mars in Gemini—we had to go to Mars anyways, since he rules Saturn Retrograde in Aries.
Uranus and Mars in Gemini are flooding our mind with new options that aren’t curated by outside influences. Gemini is very local and personal.
Well, this duo is ruled by Mercury, who’s just recently gone direct in Cancer and he’s squaring Saturn. This is about learning to get over your hesitancy. This is about seeing how your associations influence what you believe are viable options.
What happens if you don’t feel like you’re worthy enough to break away from those alliances? What if you don’t put yourself in a space where you can find or attract new options?
You’ll probably feel frustrated and vulnerable to extreme promises.
So a lot of what you’ll see during this time is the rise of cults who become more aggressive with their messaging.
Those who don’t wish to go this route may even get caught in the crossfire as they search for a patch of freedom.
This full moon with Pluto is really going to expose the underbelly of our current system, where all sides are played against each other.
It’s getting laid bare—how the resource of consciousness is being manipulated now.
Standards have declined. Art is in the gutter. Culture is wasted.
So when we look closer to Mars, he’s square Venus. This is a textbook signature for dissatisfaction.
Because look, Venus and Mars are always the patrons of art, sex and business.
But they’re squaring off and angry. They ask: what do we have now in the world? We have weird highways of glass, these Glasslands where “content” is zooming at 100mph, churning out micro desires for you to adopt.
Fast, schizophrenic society with little in-groups who constantly fracture.
Venus is an important player here. She’s the ruler of Chiron, who’s in Taurus.
Chiron in Taurus is teaching us to not be ashamed of our desires. Don’t settle now! Speak up and say this is what I want—even if you can’t get it yet because you have to build the system that will support you and your relationships.
In practical terms, this looks like associating with people out of choice and not out of mere convenience or proximity. Gone are the 2010s where we all band together because we drink green juice or listen to Arcade Fire.
And that’s the message this full moon leaves us with:
How do I go out and live that way? How do I stand up for that? Isn’t that going to make me seem weird? Isn’t authenticity a bit too risky?
Chiron square this Full Moon says to us:
Desire is the only way through. If you want something in your heart, then truly dare to desire it. Because then you can leave behind the false choices given to you. The world is free and open, you don’t have to keep walking the same circles.
This will all come back in force during Venus Retrograde in October. Some people will be digging in the trash then. Accepting bad deals or ex lovers.
Don’t be that person. Roar like a revolutionary now. Stand by what you want. You deserve that better life you’re daydreaming of—you can really have it, because this is a hard reboot on society.
